Subgroups make it possible to divide rides into multiple groups. This eliminates the need to create separate rides for different target audiences. The division is done using labels, allowing members to choose which group they want to join. Examples of group divisions include:
- Speed groups: Group A (30+ km/h), Group B (27-30 km/h), Group C (up to 27 km/h)
- Training level: Recreational, Intermediate, Advanced

What do you need
To divide a ride into subgroups, it is essential that (ride) labels have been created within the club. Within Cyql, labels provide a flexible way to categorize and organize rides, groups, or participants. Club administrators can create and manage labels via the dashboard, such as speed group labels: Group A, Group B, and Group C. These labels are then used to split rides into subgroups.

Where to find Subgroups
Subgroups can be applied to rides and can be found within a ride. It is only possible to split a ride into subgroups via the Cyql dashboard. To do this, go to the relevant ride and navigate to "Split into subgroups."
How to divide a ride into subgroups
To divide a ride into subgroups, follow these steps:
Step 1:
Open the relevant ride in the Cyql dashboard.
Step 2:
Navigate to "Split into sub-groups" and enable this option.
Step 3:
Choose the label on which the ride should be split.
Step 4:
Select the label values that apply to this ride.
Step 5:
Save and the subgroups are set for this ride
Step 6 - IMPORTANT:
Before making the ride active, check that the subgroups are correctly set up. Once the first participant has signed up for the ride, it is no longer possible to make changes to the subgroups.
How can a club member sign up for a ride with subgroups?
For club members, signing up for a ride with subgroups is very simple. The signup process is the same as for a regular ride, with the additional step of selecting the subgroup they wish to join. This can be done by choosing the appropriate group in the signup screen.
