Table of contents

Create ride

This option allows you to plan and organize your bike ride using various functionalities. In the main screen, click the black button 'Add ride +' in the bottom right corner.

The following screen will open. If you are a member of multiple groups/clubs, first select the appropriate group or club. Then select the type of ride and click 'next' at the bottom of the screen.

GPX

If there is a GPX file and you want to add it to the ride, click the '+'. Select the GPX file from your files and it will be linked to the ride. You can choose to import the title of the GPX file and the distance automatically. Adding a GPX file is not a requirement to post a ride, distance can then be entered manually. The GPX file can always be added to the ride later.

Date and time

Through the 'calendar-icon' you can change the date through the screen that opens. Through the 'clock-icon' you can change the start time of the ride. Through the button 'edit description' any additional information can be added. The distance is linked to the GPX file if desired. At 'average speed' you can communicate prior to the ride the speed that will be cycled during the ride, the Cyql app automatically calculates the total duration of the ride based on distance and average speed.

Location

You can then add the start location. You can choose to select the default start location or add a new start location.

Stop underway

Turn on the "Stop underway" feature to indicate stopping along the way for a cup of coffee, for example, during the ride.

Road captains

In the dashboard, the role road captain can be assigned to users by administrators. These road captains can then be linked to the ride. This way, it is clear in advance who is the road captain during the ride. Only (ride) administrators can add road captains

Public ride

The 'public ride' feature allows you to publish the ride publicly, this allows non-club members to see the ride and then sign up to join the ride. This gives other Cyql users the opportunity to join a club ride. If you check 'publish as a club ride', the ride will be posted in the name of the club instead of the initiator himself. Finally, you can sign up for the ride directly yourself. Only (ride) administrators can publish a ride on behalf of a club
