Welcome to the guide for the Club Ranking! With the club ranking, clubs can easily keep track of a ranking for their members based on various criteria such as points, participation, or kilometers. In this article, we explain how to set up, adjust, and manage the club ranking for your members.
1 What is the club ranking?
The Cyql club ranking allows clubs to maintain a dynamic ranking for their members based on their performance. This can be done in various ways, such as:
- Points per ride
- Participation in rides
- Kilometers ridden
As a club, you have full flexibility to choose the ranking method that best suits your club.
2 Key features of the club ranking:
- Flexible ranking: Choose the ranking method for your club: points, participation, or kilometers.
- Start and end dates: Set the start and end dates for the club ranking, for example, for a specific season or event.
- Dashboard and app: The club ranking is accessible via both the app and the dashboard, so members can always see their position and that of others.
- Ride selection: Decide which rides count towards the ranking. This ensures that only relevant rides are included in the ranking.
- Participation management: Administrators can adjust the participant list afterwards, ensuring the actual participation is correctly recorded.
3 Activating the club ranking
Follow these steps to set up the club ranking for your club:
Step 1: Log in to the Cyql dashboard
- Open the Cyql dashboard and log in with your club account.
Step 2: Go to Settings
- Navigate to the Settings menu and ensure the General tab is selected.
Step 3: Choose the ranking method
- Under the Club Ranking section, you can choose the desired ranking method:
- Points: Ranking based on points earned per ride.
- Participation: Ranking based on ride participation, regardless of distance or speed.
- Kilometers: Ranking based on the total number of kilometers ridden.
Step 4: Set the Period
- Set the start and end dates for the ranking. This could be, for example, the beginning and end of the cycling season or a specific event.
Step 5: Save Settings
- Click Save to confirm the selected settings.
You have now configured the club ranking! The next step is to mark which rides count towards the ranking.
4 Managing rides for the club ranking
Not all rides need to automatically count towards the Club Ranking. As a club, you can decide which rides will be included in the ranking.
Step 1: Assign Rides to the club ranking
- Go to an existing ride or create a new ride.
- Open the ride and navigate to the Tags tab.
- Check the box for Club Ranking to include the ride in the ranking.
- Depending on the selected ranking method, you can also add a point valuehere.
- For the points method, you can set the number of points a member earns for participating in the ride.
Step 2: Save
- Click Save to save the ride. The ride will now count towards the Club Ranking.
5 Managing participation in a ride
It may happen that some club members do not actually participate in a ride or join without notification. Therefore, it’s possible to adjust the participants in a ride after the fact, ensuring that the club ranking remains as fair as possible.
Step 1: Adjust participation
- Go to the Rides section in the dashboard.
- Open the desired ride and go to the Participants tab.
Step 2a: Add participant(s) to ride
- Click on Add Participant(s) and select the participants from the list.
- Click Add Participant(s) and the selected participants will be added to the ride and counted in the club ranking.
Step 2b: Remove participant(s) from ride
- Find the participant to be removed in the list of participants.
- Click on the three dots on the far right and select Change Presence or Remove Participant: a. By selecting Change Presence, the member will remain linked to the ride, but their presence status will determine whether this ride counts towards their club ranking. b. By selecting Remove Participant, the member will be removed from the participant list, and this ride will no longer count in their club ranking.
6 Overview of the club ranking:
Both club members and administrators can view the Club Ranking:
- Members: Members can view their own position and that of others via the Cyql app.
- Administrators: Administrators can track the performance of all members through the app or dashboard.
